A Time for Everything

Waiting has been the story of our lives for the last three and half years of our lives.  The process of waiting has really refined,pruned and drawn us ever so close to The Lord.  We have had seasons where time just flew by and it was "easy to wait" but then others seasons where it was painful to wait any longer.
    This past Spring has been our toughest season of waiting yet. Everything changed when we saw our sons face in February.  For me, I have had more "messy" days this spring than I have had in my whole life but count them as joy because Jesus is refining and pruning me as I wait.  Honestly, some days it just plain hurts.  Its tough to have a child on another continent and its tough to watch him grow through pictures.  (Although please know how grateful we are for technology! What a gift it is to see our sweet boys face!)  I have been ultra sensitive lately and find myself crying over the craziest things! This season of waiting from referral to travel has given me such a glimpse into what God must feel as he eagerly awaits the adoption of his sons and daughters here on earth. I have just had a small glimpse into that  sense of longing and desire to be united with your children...... Isn't just amazing that our Savior can relate and understand everything that we go through? What comfort that has been for my weary soul.  As hard as this season has been emotionally on me, I wouldn't trade it for anything.   Recently Jared and I got to attend a worship service at a local church that was powerful with a lot of worship music and scripture that God used to bless and encourage my heart.  I seriously have carried the page I made notes on in my pocket book for weeks!  Here are the scriptures that God showed me that night.

13 I remain confident of this:
    I will see the goodness of the Lord
    in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
    be strong and take heart
    and wait for the Lord.
Psalm 27 13:14

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s

mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

1 Peter 5:6-7

10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalm 46:10

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
    and a season for every activity under the heavens:

Ecclesiastes 3:1
