So Fed Ex pulled through and delivered our Dossier on Monday afternoon! We were so happy that it was back to us and so glad to have that step over with.....so we thought.  When I opened the box we realized that all but two documents were eligible to be state sealed.  So in the next couple of days we will be working out the issues with those two forms and hope to have them state sealed next week. 

This process is taking longer than we anticipated but God keeps reminding us of the verse that he taught us early on in this process

"But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day."  Habakkuk 2:3

As Thanksgiving is approaching this week, God reminded us that it was this week last year that God had confirmed his adoption plan in both our hearts. What a wonderful year it has been being on this adoption journey and growing closer to the Lord.  We look forward to what the next year brings! We would love it if our little one would be home with us next Thanksgiving! 



State Seal

We finished gathering all of the documents for our dossier and had them notarized last week. Tuesday of this week I FedExed our dossier to Richmond to be "State Sealed". They have to check all of our notaries and signatures, etc. and make sure our document official so it can be sent to Ethiopia!

How much insurance should you put on something that has taken 3-1/2 months to put together? 48 pieces of paper? Well considering it entailed a trip to West Va, police clearances from the government, new marriage certificates, new birth certificates, passports, recommendation letters, medical clearances from our doctors, photo shoot with Sarah......etc. etc.....priceless!! We insured this document with God! Dear Fed Ex if this doesn't make it back to me your company is on the wrong team.

We are working hard to be on the waiting list by 2011! Most likely sooner.

Today Betsy and I continued to complete our dossier by getting more paperwork notarized. We hope to be completed and on a waiting list by the year's end!
