Memorial Day Weekend

Well Jared and I kicked off the summer with a fun camping trip with the Harkers this past weekend.  We camped at a different place this year on the Potomac River called Westmoreland State Park and really enjoyed our time there.  We really enjoyed all the beautiful scenery there and had a relaxing weekend filled with good fellowship and food.  Here are some pictures from our trip.

Jared and Nathan fishing....They had fun but unfortunately didnt have very much luck.......

Jared cooking dinner over the camp fire! It was delicious!

Jared and I went for a morning run and came upon this beautiful spot on the Potomac River! Praise the Lord for his beautiful creation! We look forward to seeing the River of the Water of Life someday....

"Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yeilding its fruit each month." Rev 22: 1-2

We enjoyed relaxing and taking naps in this hammock!

Notice we are both rocking out our awesome Africa T-shirts!

On Saturday, May 28th, we also celebrated being on the Waiting list for 4 months.  Thanks to everyone who continues to lift up our child and fellow orphans in prayer and for all the encouraging words and prayers to us during this time of waiting.  We feel so blessed.
