A Great Christmas Blessing

Our hearts are overjoyed to be making this post today! Betsy and I have been working dilegently over the past 5 months to complete the extensive dossier (pronounced "dass-ei-a") process. This packet of information contains anything and everything about us, marriage license, passports, reference letters, fingerprints, etc. etc. etc.  We both wanted to have completed this much sooner, but it has been evident throughout this process that God's timing is perfect! We can now however say that we have completed it and mailed it!

Redneck in Fedex

Once it is approved by the agency, it will be sent to Ethiopia for their review. At that point we will be put on the waiting list! Once on the list our work is over until we receive a referal. Realistically the wait could be as much as a year or more. We are content to wait, as I said God is in control of this entire process. However, it is disheartening to know that there is such a great need for adoptive parents and yet the processing still takes so long.

Sorting the many documents

We continue to pray for our precious son/daughter and their family. It's hard to think that the birth parents of our child may be having to give their son/daughter up this Christmas. Possibly they are dying from disease/malnutrition or who knows the circumstance. Please continue to pray for all of those involved, that God would use this situation to make himself known among the nations, and that he will be glorified in all things.

The declaration of independence

But you do see, for you note mischief and vexation, that you may take it into your hands; to you the helpless commits himself; you have been the helper of the fatherless...........  O LORD, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, so that man who is of the earth may strike terror no more.  Psalm 10:14-18

The fedex guy thought we were weirdo's....are we?

I don't think you're weirdos, every step must be documented in photos! :)
