God Of Hope

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit
Romans 15:13

During my quiet time with the Lord today, I was reading in Romans chapter 15 and felt like a couple verses encouraged my soul and "filled it with hope." In
Romans 15:4 Paul had said that
"For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."
I loved how my study bible defined the words endurance and encouragment in the Greek. Endurance was defind as "to bear up under pressure." The study bible encouraged believers to "continue the race of faith fuly confident that God will keep his promises."  Now I understand that he is talking eternally here but it reminded me of another verse that says about endurance....
"And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us"
 Hebrews 12:1
I feel like we have had crazy amounts of endurance in this adoption process thanks to Jesus! But it was just a good reminded to my soul, that sometimes gets weary in this long wait ,that we are to press on and be confident that God will unite us with our little one just like he has promised in his perfect timing!
According the study bible, Encouragment in the Greek means "comfort" and it reminded us believers that "reading Gods word daily fills us with hope because it comforts our souls."
How precious is the WORD of GOD! I love that our Heavenly Father gives us access to his Word that is so powerful!  I was just encouraged and reminded of the hope that we have in Christ and his Word this morning and thought I needed to share it with all of you that read our stroy.  Im no scholar but I do pray that someone will be as encouraged and filled with hope as I was when I read Gods word this morning! Thanks again for the prayers for our personal endurance in this long wait!  As we near 2 years on the waitling list next week, we find ourselves clinging to Jesus everyday and are thankful that his word does fill our weary souls with hope!!!
