Hopeful



So many people have been so kind and have endured this LONG journey of waiting with us and we are so grateful for all of them!  People are so kind and have really taken an interest in our "unofficial waiting list number", joining us in praying for the orphans and for endurance for us in this long adventure.  Yesterday I was so blessed by a coworker who gave me a book called the 31 Nuggets of Hope For Moms Who Have Said Yes To The Fatherless by Shelly Roberts and a beautiful necklace. She was so excited to give me this book and she shared that she had heard the author on a christian radio station giving her testimony and she said she thought of me! I was so blessed and little did she know that it was exactly what my heart needed.  Of course I sported the necklace at work with my scrubs and could hardly wait for lunch to start reading! I read the first four chapters quickly during lunch and I was so blessed by the a verse in the third chapter.  

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope
 Psalm 130:5

As I anticipate meeting our child and getting that "referral call" I feel like the Lord is teaching me more and more about great expectation and the urgency we need to have as we wait on his awesome return.  Although this journey is getting really, really long, God reminded me to chose to put my hope in his word and in cling to him even harder during this season of waiting. 
The Lord was so gracious and this morning before work I was able to spend some time in Gods word, being renewed by his hope and promises and looking foward to the great things he has promised for us. 

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us
